Introducing Barb and Sandra
Sassy Lady’s Fashion Divas |
Barb Breuhaus joined the Sassy Lady team
in 2007. She didn’t come looking for a job; rather we found
her through the recommendation of a mutual friend. It was a
match made in heaven!
At that time, she had limited retail
experience, but that didn’t stop her. She has a natural
ability to work with people and to put clothing, jewelry and
accessories together. Our customers simply love her.
She has a dramatic fashion personality and
is able to truly assist those ladies who don’t necessarily
know what is the right selection. She always wants everyone
to look their absolute best.
Barb is a mother and grandmother (ask her about the
grandkids!). She has lived in Peoria all her life and her
hobby is “shopping.”

found Sassy Lady when it
was just starting out. At that time, she was employed by
AMEREN/CILCO. However, in 2009 she retired.
One day while shopping in the store, she
made a little statement, “If you ever need some help, let me
know. I would love to work here.” Needless to say, only a
few days went by before we called Sandra. She has worked
regularly at the store ever since.
Sandra, too, is a lifelong Peorian. She grew up loving
shopping and worked at several clothing stores - Caren
Charles, Bergners, Casual Corner and Paul Harris. Sandra is
a dramatic dresser and loves all the jewelry and accessories
that are part of the store.
Sassy Lady selected the title of “Fashion Diva” for Barb and
Sandra since they do much more than wait on customers. They
are experts in their field.
They know what will look right on all
types of women based on their body type, fashion personality
and season colors. But don’t stop there . . . over the
period of a week they answer many calls regarding what to
wear for a special occasion, how to accessorize, etc.
Additionally, they field phone calls answering both customer
and non-customer questions.
